Xiaomi Redmi Note successor would be a powerhouse of specs

Recent reports coming out of China has unveiled the specs for the upcoming Redmi phone that is probably the Redmi Note successor. The leaked handset is tipped to be a powerhouse of specs and would compete with the recently announced Meizu MX4. The device is likely to be powered with a octa-core processor MT6595 from MediaTek with a whopping 3GB of RAM support. However, this is not the true octa-core chipset from the chip maker and comes with four Cortex A-17 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and four Cortex A-7 cores clocked at 1.7GHz.


Other for this upcoming Xiaomi device includes a 5.5inch screen display, an enhanced 20.7MP primary camera, an 8MP secondary camera at the front a powerful battery backup of 3500mAh battery capacity with a rapid charging technology involved. The device is likely to arrive in four storage variants of 16,32,64 and 128GB with a pricing of $165, $215 and $245 respectively. The price for the 128GB model remains a suspense for the moment.

This phone that is considered to be a sequel to the existing Redmi Note is also likely to have connectivity options of NFC and 4G LTE on-board. Additionally, the device would also have gesture controls and employ temperature sensors. Well the chipset has also gone through AnTuTu benchmark testing with a score of 47,233. If this turns out to be a real deal for its specs and pricing, we are sure Xiaomi will continue it everlasting legacy of offering high-end device at extremely affordable rate.
