At an official press event today, Chinese handset manufacturer Huawei unveiled its much awaited flagship handset Honor 7. The Honor 7 comes in three different versions all having a metal alloy chassis. The difference between the versions is in storage capacity and connectivity. The basic model has a 16GB built-in storage with LTE radio, the other comes with a dual-SIM-standby LTE and the higher most version with a 64GB of internal memory. Lets look at some of the common specs for the device.
The Huawei Honor 7 comes with a stylish aluminum alloy body giving the handset a toughened covering and good grip. The display is 5.2” 1080p with pixel density of 423ppi. Under the hood lies the company’s home baked Kirin 935 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz. the chipset has a four Cortex A53 cores and other four less clocked at 1.5 Cortex A53 cores. The graphic handling tasks are done by Mali-T628 GPU. To support the chipset multi-tasking capabilities, the device has got a 3GB of RAM memory with 16-64GB of internal storage options with additional microSD card slots for expandable memory. Dimension wise the handset is 8.5mm thin and weighs just 157 grams.
The camera section is pretty impressive with a 20MP sensor to its back which comes with Phase Detection and Auto Focus. This is the latest Sony sensor with F2.0 aperture, sapphire glass protection and a 6 lens module. The front side also hosts a powerful 8MP secondary sensor with wide-angle lens. Just below the rear camera at the back side, there is fingerprint sensor through which users can unlock the phone with just one tap.
Moving to the connectivity options, the device hosts NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11, A-GPS, WCDMA and LTE radios, GSM and Bluetooth 4.1. the device comes with an excellent 3100mAh of battery life and some quick charging technology built-in that charges the handset completely in just 1 hour 25 minutes or which the intial 50% charging occurs just in half an hour. The handset runs the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop on-board and the runs the latest EMUI version 3.1 at the top.
As always, the pricing for the device is kept affordable at $322 for 16GB model, $355 for dual SIM LTE version and $400 for 64GB version.
