At first glance, it looks very much like the HTC Desire 816. Well, who knows? However, last month, HTC has partly introduced the Desire 820 on a Chinese network, Weibo. And a feature that was highlighted was the incorporation of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 615 chipset.

Apparently, it is one of the first 64-bit chips made for Android devices, which is a very good selling point for any upcoming handsets. Apart from having the new Cortex-A53 varieties, four 1.8GHz and four 1.0GHz cores, the Snapdragon 615 chipset also boasts of the most recent generation Adreno 405 GPU.

You might be wondering now what else the HTC Desire 820 has in store for us. For a quick run-through of some of its most important features, high points and low points, the mobile phone is designed on a 5.5-inch size. However, as much as we are expecting prompt functions, its resolution fell a little short with only 720p screen resolution. To redeem its stature though, the HTC Desire 820 will be showing off an impressive tandem of a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front cam. We are also looking into a 2,600 mAh battery, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of storage allowance.

The HTC Desire 820 might not even be officially announced yet, but another HTC device is on its way. The Desire 510 is said to be running on 64-bit processor as well; evidently handier than the Desire 820 with only 4.7-inch screen.

Stay tune for updates!
