Sony’s new Phablet Xperia Z3X benchmarked, to feature Snapdragon 810 and a powerful Camera

Sony seems to be working on a new phablet phone Xperia Z3X, to be released in 2015.The new phablet is alleged to be a successor to Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra that was launched last year. Details and pictures about the big Xperia Z3X first appeared in July this year when it was rumored that camera will be the main focus of the phablet.

Xperia Z3X has appeared in the news again, this time revealing that the phablet has supposedly been benchmarked at AnTuTu.  Several details of the phablet have emerged that indicate quite awesome specs for the device. Well, for one, the device is going to be big with a 6.2-inch QHD touchscreen having a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Also, it will be powered by Qualcomm 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset, octa-core 2.8GHz CPU with four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores and have Adreno 430 GPU. It will also have a massive 4GB of RAM.

The Xperia Z3X will feature Sony’s new curved CMOS sensor. It will sport a 22MP camera with 2/3 inch sensor and a 7.83mm super lens with f/1.2 aperture. The camera will have a high sensitivity to light and high signal to noise ratio that will render great pictures and videos even in inadequate lighting conditions. The new phablet will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

All these specs point to a powerful phablet with an equally powerful camera. Of course, these benchmark results could be fake but if they are true, this phablet will be something to watch out for. We will have to wait and see.
