New Nvidia Shield Tablet to have Tegra X1 processor

Last month at the very starting of 2015, chip making giant NVIDIA announced its powerful processing machine – Tegra X1  chipset which is said to be a successor to the Tegra K1. The Tegra X1 is considered to be the most advanced chipset ever made for mobile application and could possibly be seen in many of the smartphones and tablets coming ahead this year. Reports suggested by Fudzilla shows that the chipset could make home to the NVIDIA Shield Tablet announced by the company last year.

The new Shield Tablet hosting the Tegra X1 is said to be unveiled on March 17th next month or even earlier if possible. However, much details regarding the specs of the device are not available at the moment but the tablet is said to keep the 8-inch form factor in place which has proven to be quite successful to them. The original Shield Tablet has already received the Android 5.0 Lollipop and so we expect the new ones to straight away host the latest OS.

The power machine Tegra X1 has got eight 64-bit CPU cores with 4 Cortex A53 and four Cortex A57 along with a 256-core Maxwell GPU for graphic control. We can certainly expect a power-packed performance with all the devices hosting this chipset.
