Google is always finding new ways to improve the technology to help people in their daily life. Postal mail has proven that it cannot be removed from people’s life, in the past or in the future. People will always need to send regular mail or even postal package to one another. Google realized this and committed to improve the mailbox as well as to add some interesting new feature to it. With this concept, Google has created Smartbox by Inbox.
Smartbox is a better and smarter mailbox which combines both physical mails with electronic mail. To open it, you just have to wave your hand in front of the smartbox then the front lid will open and you can either put in or take out the letters or packages into or from it. When you press a button found at the side of the smartbox, the side will open and there will be a screen inside it which you will then able to click on the options available on the screen.
On top of that, you can also check whether there are any mails inside your Smartbox by using a mobile app. There is also an option to remove the Smartbox from its place so that you can open it from your comfort location in your house.
Smartbox is currently on field trial and you can email inbox@google.com to get invited as a tester beta for this product anytime before April 2.
