Gionee Marathon M5 Boasts Twice Battery Power Among Other Unique Features

Gionee, one of the biggest mobile phone manufacturers in China, has launched Marathon M5 in an event in China a few days ago. The smartphone offers twice battery size of a normal battery size in other smartphones. Therefore, instead of 3010mAh, M5 will be featuring two 3010mAh battery sizes. On top of that, the smartphone will have a number of battery optimization features to ensure that it can withstand the longest hours when compared with other smartphones in the market.

Marathon M5 will be operating on a quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, 4G LTE and 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded by an external microSD. As for the display, the device will come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 720×1280 resolutions, which is a pity, from my point of view.

The smartphone is 8.5mm thick and the outer rim measured at only 4.75mm. Therefore, from the outside appearance it is rather unbelievable that there are two relatively large batteries embedded inside it. With this kind of measurement, it is consider small and thus the user should be able to put the smartphone inside the pocket without much hassle. With only 5% of the battery life left on the smartphone, it boasts that it can last almost three full days (62 hours) in standby mode.

Marathon M5 is dual-SIM smartphone. It offers three colors, black, white and gold. It will be available starting on June 25^th and priced at $370.

Gionee, China’s Biggest Mobile Phone Manufacturer, Launched Elife E8 Which comes with 24MP Camera

In case most of you have not heard about Gionee, it is because the company does not really have a product which can be noticed in the global market, until recently. Gionee is one of China’s biggest mobile phone manufacturers. The company has just launched a new flagship smartphone at an event in China recently, which goes by the name Elife E8.

Gionee Elife E8 will run on a 64-bit Mediatek Helio X10 chipset with 2GHz octa-core MT6795 processor and comes with a 6-inch Quad HD display with 490ppi. For the GPU, the device will be using PowerVR 6200. On top of that, it will be embedded with a 3GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with external micro-SD. At the back of the phone, there will be a 23.7MP OIS camera with dual tone LED flash which can do video recording up to 4K resolution quality. The fingerprint sensor also can be found at the back of the smartphone. The device is powered up on a 3500mAh battery size.

Gionee Elife E8 offers a lossless zoom which is the first Android smartphone which is able to do so. The picture quality can be increased up to 100 MP resolutions by using a default image software which comes with the smartphone’s OS. Speaking about the smartphone’s OS, Gionee Elife E8 is running on the company’s own Amigo UI which built on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Gionee Elife E8 currently restricted to retail only in China starting on July 15 onwards which pricing of CNY 3,999 ($645). It is rumored to be launched in India starting from June end by the same name, however, in the international market, the smartphone is rebranded as Allview X2 Xtreme.

Gionee likely to have one more ultra-slim handset at the MWC 2015

Handset manufacturer Gionee last year held the record for the slimmest handset in the world with its last year’s two handset the Elife S5.5 and the Elife S5.1. Now the company has announced that it would bring yet another super-slim smartphone on the 2^nd on next month March at the MWC 2015. This has been stated by the company’s global marketing head Oliver Sha. He went out saying “The race to make the slimmest smartphone was getting out of hand. Going so slim is actually not benefiting user experience without the performance to back it up”

The existing Gionee Elife S5.1 is just 5.15mm thin which was then back in the competition when Oppo announced its Oppo R5 “slimmest of them all” smartphone. Another handset Vivo X5 Max also has a 4.8mm of thin profile. Now it seems that the company doesn’t want to lose its legacy in this niche and well we, the smartphone users, will surely enjoy this competition to exist so that we are benefited with more slimmer design.

Its just a matter of less than 30 days when we could get a curvy, slimmer and newer design from Gionee.

Gionee, a Chinese handset maker, has once again introduced a first in the mobile industry. It was the first to manufacture the thinnest smartphone during the time that they launched the two revolutionary handsets known as the Elife sS5.5 and Elife E5.1. And now the Chinese has done it again. This time materializing a smartphone with two 1080p displays.

The Gionee W900 is a clamshell type made to simulate the Samsung’s Android flip phones, which were apparently in the mainstream in China.

Gionee GN9005 Spotted with Only 5 mm Thickness

Thinness is the backbone of Gionee – the Elife S5.5 flagship turned heads with its mere 5.55mm thickness, however TENAA has simply certified a mid-range model that is even thinner one. The Gionee GN9005 (still not confirmed name, we’re guessing) measures simply 5mm thick!

While the Elife S5.5 is a high-end offering with a premium build and finish, the Gionee GN9005 sounds like a mid-ranger with moderate hardware aspects and technical specifications. It is tipped to come with a 4.8 inch HD 720p display incorporating a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor of unspecified chipset. The device is claimed to run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and 1 GB of RAM.

The Gionee GN9005 weighs simply 94.6g with dimensions of 139.8 x 67.4 x 5.0 mm. The camera setup is associate 8MP / 720p on the rear and a 5MP on the front. The phone is likely to include 16 GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded and a 2,050 mAh battery.The handset uses China specific TD-LTE connection and appears bear the China Mobile logo.

There is no information about the availability of the handset worldwide. However,considering the Elife S5.5 is available also as the BLU Vivo IV and Allview X2 Soul, there’s a good chance the hardware will be accessible even if not under the Gionee brand.
