Lumia Moments is now available in the Windows Phone Store and you can update the feature to your smartphone. However, only four Lumia models can get the update to the smartphones. Lumia Moments is the new update of Lumia Denim update that can take pictures from the video and save it as captured image.

There are two possible categories of capturing phones using the feature in your Lumia smartphone. You can have the Action Shots from the videos by using strobe effects on the picture. Another way is to get the Best Frame feature that can take single photo from the video that you can see using Nokia Storytellers.

Microsoft has not give the update to the OTA update version, instead, it update the whole app in order to ensure the feature in it. For that reason, you do not need to wait so long to get the feature eon your Windows Phone at all. The app will work like HTC and Motorola’s application.

Nokia Lumia now re-branded as Microsoft Lumia

Well, if this title is very surprising for you, we give you a bit recap that few months back, Microsoft acquired Nokia and is now the parent company for all the Lumia phones. However, now the company has went out officially declaring that the Nokia Lumia brand would be replaced with Microsoft Lumia. But this is not the complete end of Nokia brand as the company would still continue to sell the Nokia Lumia along with the support for these device. Senior Vice President of Marketing, Tuula Rytilä, said in an interview about the future course of Lumia brands and said that the Nokia-branded apps would now come under the Microsoft umbrella.

However, it is still not clear as to when we would get to see the first Microsoft Lumia device in the market. Probably, if Microsoft doesn’t surprise us before this Christmas, we can expect Microsoft to make announcements at the CES in January or either the MWC in February next year.

Nokia Lumia 530 goes official along with Band by Coloud speakers

After spotting the Nokia Lumia 530 in leaks previously, Microsoft devices have officially announced the handset that comes with single and dual SIM variants and will roll-out in August costing €85 or $115 excluding taxes.

Looking to its specs, the Nokia Lumia 530 comes with a 4” LCD Display having resolution of 854×480 pixels. At its heart lies a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset with Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz and a Adreno 302 GPU for graphics support. The memory options for the device include a 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage along with microSD card slot for expandable memory. The Nokia Lumia 530 comes pre-loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 along with Nokia Drive+ for world-wide navigation.

At its back lies a 5MP primary camera with ¼” sensor which is a fixed-focus camera. The camera can record a video with 854×480 pixel resolution. The battery capacity for the device is 1430mAh which offers nearly 22hrs of standby time and 10 hours of 3G talk time.

In addition to the Nokia Lumia 530, the company has also announced Bang mini compact speakers from Coloud that is priced for €19. The Bang mini are rechargeable speakers which offer sound for up-to 8 hours.

A Multitude of unreleased Windows Phone 8.1 devices including Nokia Lumia and Lenovo show up on AdDuplex

In its latest blog, AdDuplex has released data which shows that there is a multitude of Windows phone 8.1 devices currently in circuit. Many of the handsets have already been announced, but some are as yet unreleased.

Top among them is the Microsoft Nokia Lumia series RM-983, RN-984 and RM-985. All of them are mid-range smartphones with a 5-inch, 720p screen. Another 5-inch Nokia device, the Nokia Lumia 930 sporting a higher 1080p resolution display has already been announced earlier. There is a possibility that these three unannounced Nokia handsets are the previously leaked upcoming Nokia devices codenamed Vela, Athena and Libra. Only time will tell.

The AdDuplex blog also mentions an unreleased Lenovo QRD8x26 running Windows Phone 8.1. The first Lenovo Windows Phone 8.1 handset has been confirmed for release in 2014. Is it this one? Can’t say as yet.
