After all the waiting, Samsung has finally unveiled its premium clad Galaxy Note 4. The good thing is that the Galaxy Note 4 has arrived in two iterations where the other model that was said to be coming with a curved display has finally gone official with the name of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is basically the Galaxy Note 4’s other iteration with a different display where the extra folded parts pack 160 pixels and the total pixel resolution stands to 1600×2560 pixels. Samsung while designing the curved display has ensured that just any of accidental touches will not create any kind of problem to the device. Even when the handset would be locked, the side curved display will display some Quick Glance info like notifications and time. On waking up the screen, the side will display notifications for different features like flashlight shortcuts, ruler and timer.

On unlocking the phone, the options of curved side display use increases. The side curved display can also be used for multi-tasking by switching between different screens. With the curved display, users can even handle the switching between app drawer and homescreen. Users can even keep individual apps on the curved side display. Even thecamera and video control put their controls on the side and the screen could be left for video/viewfinder. Samsung has announced that it will release an API to encourage third party developers to make potential and optimum use of the curved display. It can be thus said that the major glamour of the Galaxy Note Edge is its curved display.

 

Apart from this, looking to its other specs, the handset would be powered with a powerful Snapdragon 805 or Exynos 5433 chipset processor, 16MP camera with OIS, S Pen stylus and Android 4.4 on-board. This news has arrived from a Russian branch of Media Mart where the Senior Manager at the retailer claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will come with a price tag of RUB 35,000 which is same to that of the Note 3 released last year. While calculating the equivalent price in the Global market it turns out to be $940 or €715. Well, it seems that Korean tech giant Samsung is all set to raise the heat with its upcoming Galaxy Note 4 that is supposed to arrive next month at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin. Now the company is making every effort to advertise its flagship device. On a dedicated page on its official website, Samsung has posted a video which majorly features the Galaxy Note 3 however the last few seconds of the video shows us to expect the upcoming Note 4.

Samsung has also posted about this ad on Chinese website Weibo, that announces a contest in which participants can win the existing Galaxy Note 3. However, this contest is limited to only people from China.

It seems that Samsung is majorly focusing on the China smartphone market after facing a tough competition from its Chinese counterpart Xiaomi these days. However, no such ad has been seen in the western region of the globe where Samsung is considered to have a strong foothold. This ad campaign has spread to online marketing as well! Samsung Galaxy Note 4 likely to be announced this September

Korean tech giant Samsung has been following a disciplinary routine when it comes to launching its flagship device. Earlier in the year at the MWC, the company announces its S series flagships and later at during September at the IFA it announces its Note series. With much rumors surrounding the upcoming Galaxy Note 4, it is now said that the premium flagship would arrive on September 3^rd just before the commencement of IFA. The 2014 IFA event which is scheduled at Berlin from 5-10 September. The Korea Times  has recently reported that the company is likely to make an announcement soon by sending the media invites.

Samsung seems to be gearing up with its plans as it might want to put its premium handset in the market ahead of the much touted Apple iPhone 6. Samsung Electro-Mechanics Chief Financial Officer Kwon Young-noh said “Samsung Note 4 will have far better specifications than the Galaxy S5 smartphone.”

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is tipped to host a 5.7inch display with 2560×1440 QHD pixel resolution and would come in two versions one of them having curved display. The device is also supposed to have a 3GB of RAM, Snapdragon 805 SoC, a 16MP camera with OIS and ultraviolet sensor. The device is likely to have a all metal construction. In addition, an executive at Samsung’s software partner recently said that “The Note 4 will be the first smartphone to incorporate an ultraviolet sensor. It’s still two more months for the Galaxy Note 4 to get officially announced however many rumors regarding the device has already started flowing out. Today, AnTuTu benchmarks have revealed not one but in fact two Note 4 models which come with codename SM-N910C and SM-N910S.

The “C” refers to a Exynos 5433 processor version of the Galaxy Note 4 while “S” would naturally mean the Qualcomm Snapdragon version. The Exynos processor with be an octa-core one with a combination of Cortex A57 and Cortex A53 with maximum clocking at 1.3GHz. Both of the cores at the first ARM’s 64 bit cores giving an ultra fast performance. The GPU is listed to be ARM Mali T760 with a RAM memory of 3GB and 32GB of internal memory.

The Note 4 is listed to carry a Quad HD display with a 1440×2560 resolution similar to the one spotted in LG G3. The display is believed to be measuring 5.7” diagonally.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is believed to carry a 16MP camera sensor on its back along with a new Sony IMX240 sensor and optical image stabilization. The front camera is also believed to increase considerably to 3.68MP. Samsung has usually followed the trend of announcing its Galaxy Note series at the IFA Expo which would start on September 5^th.
