Last week the new Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet went on sale, and the guys at iFixit have already teardown Microsoft’s new Windows tablet apart.They took a new gadget apart looking at how the device is constructed, and how easy the components are to remove and substitute, the company then give the device a ‘Repairability Score’, so how did the new Surface Pro 3 tablet do?

The iFixit repairability score is ranged from 1 to 10, with one being the hardest to repair and 10 being the easiest to repair, and the Surface Pro only managed to score 1 out of 10.The reason for the low repairability score on the new Surface Pro 3 is due to a number of factors, which includes the battery being glued as well as soldered to the motherboard.

The new Window Surface Tablet also comes with a range of non standard connectors, which makes removing the display quite hard.Its display is also made from a fused glass panel and LCD.

The device offers 3100mAh of battery capacity and is available in two color options of 16GB and 64GB. The 16GB version of the handset is available for $299 while the 64GB version for just $349. The device is powered with Cyanogen Mod 11S.
