Since long, there have been quite a news about LG coming up with its own chipset in the market. Codenamed as Odin, the SoC from LG can make a debut anytime soon since it is being rumored from almost a year now. Well, back in June there was a rumor that LG Liger with model number F490L s likely to arrive ith the company’s own chipset baked in and now an image giving us a hint for the rumor has leaked online.
At the starting of the month, LG Liger received its Bluetooth certification. News are that the marketing documents for the same are being created in the LG HQ. In addition to this, there are also rumors coming from the industry that suggests the Odin-powered smartphone would be coming before the October end. The LG Liger F490L would be basically a ‘test run’ for the first LG chipset. The leaked document above shows that the Odin chipset could likely e named as Nuclum and it would be an octa-core CPU four of which would be clocked at 1.5GHz and the remaining four at 1.2GHz. the higher clocked cores would be Cortex A15 and the lower clocked cores would be Cortex A7. However, other sources have also claimed that the chipset would support Cat 6 LTE allowing download speeds of up to 300Mbps.
Some additional specs for the LG Liger would include a 5.9inch full HD display with a 13MP primary camera to its back with OIS and a 2.1MP secondary camera to its front. The memory options for the device would include a 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage. The device is expected to be having 9.45mm of thickness and a battery capacity of 3000mAh. The model-number for the device shows that its heading to LG U+ one of the three major carriers in South Korea.
