Sony’s current flagship Xperia Z3 has been released only a short while ago but that doesn’t stop the Japanese tech major from starting work on its next flagship, the Xperia Z4. Earlier, we had heard rumors that the Sony Xperia Z4 might sport a Quad HD display and now we have got leaked details about its specifications from AndroidOrigin.
Sony Xperia Z4 Specifications
As per leaked info, Sony’s upcoming flagship will have the same omni-balance design like its predecessor. It will sport a 5.5” touchscreen with Quad HD 2560 x 1440 resolution. Under the hood, it’ll have a 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit processor and Adreno 430 GPU for graphics.
There is to be an upgradation in RAM to 4GB and internal storage to 32GB. The camera will be 20.7MP with Sony’s new curved Exmor RS CMOS sensor. Xperia Z4 will have a dedicated amplifier for better sound quality, LTE Cat.6 connectivity and Bluetooth 4.1.
Only one flagship model in 2015
Since the last couple of years, Sony has been coming out with a new flagship model every 6 months. However, according to the source, the company has decided to bring out only one flagship, the Xperia Z4 next year.
There is no Xperia Z3X
Another interesting fact revealed is that there is no Xperia Z3X. The phablet Xperia Z3X was allegedly benchmarked earlier this month but according to sources, Xperia Z3X doesn’t exist. Sony is actually working on Xperia Z4 which might be launched in the Mobile World Congress in 2015.
The above info has reportedly come from the same source who had leaked info about Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact accurately. So there’s a possibility that it might be true.
