Motorola launched two high-end phones back-to-back in October this year. The first was the 5.9-inch Nexus 6 Phablet in collaboration with Google and the other was the 5.2-inch DROID Turbo with some awesome specs. Motorola was later acquired by Lenovo from Google. We now have rumors that Motorola is working on a better version of the Nexus 6 and will market it as a DROID Phablet that will be released next year.
According to rumors, Motorola’s new DROID Phablet will be similar to the Nexus 6 in terms of physical construction but will have much improved specifications. The device is supposed to sport a 5.9-inch Quad HD display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution just like the Nexus 6. It will however have the latest Qualcomm 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB RAM on board as against 32-bit Snapdragon 805 and 3GB RAM of the Nexus 6. In addition, the device will have a whopping 4000mAh battery but the camera specifications are not known. The DROID Phablet will probably run Android 5.0 Lollipop.
According to the source, the upcoming Motorola Phablet will be launched somewhere in mid-2015 through Verizon. There is also a chance that the device might not be sold as a DROID Phablet but as some other Motorola brand. Improved specs will surely make it a great device to own!
