Previous year, MediaPad X1 got launched by Huawei, a 7 inches tablet that possessed functions of telephony, a not so common type. Recently at 2015 MWC, the company is launching its new Mediapad X2, a new member of its tablet family, which consists of many improvements over MediaPad X1.
The size of the new tablet is 7 inches with 7.28mm thickness and consists of an IPS display screen with a pixel resolution of 1920×1200 which takes 80% of the tablet’s front.
An octa core processor is running the MediaPad X2, which is 64-bit Kirin 930 chipset and works at 2.0 Ghz.
The tablet also possesses back camera of 13MP with dedicated ISP chip, which has been stated to usually improve the tablets’ camera sensor’s low-light performance. Other than that the front camera is 5MP.
The tablet will be available in two editions; one of them will have a RAM of 2 GB with built-in storage of 16 GB, while the other one will consist of integrated 32 GB space with 3 GB RAM. Talking about connectivity, both devices have dual-SIM with LTE Cat.6.
Also the tablet consists of 5,000mAh battery, even though its capacity is same as the last model, it has an improved battery time. It is said that it can play music for 60 hours, run videos for 12 hours and allows internet browsing for 15 hours.
Other than that it will consist of DTS surround sound technology and Smart PA audio chip.
The new MediaPad X2 will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be launched in the markets of Western Europe and China, but it is not yet known when it will be available in USA.
