Chinese handset manufacturer and smartphone giant Xiaomi is expected to unveil a flagship handset on the 15th of January 2015 and looking to the rumors floating about the Xiaomi Mi4S or the Xiaomi Mi5, we believe that it could be nothing but this handset that is to make news. Now once again, the specs of the device have been detailed by an third party e store.
The eCommerce website Oppomart has said that the Xiaomi Mi5 will have a 5.7inch display with a QHD pixel resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and a 515ppi density. The dimensions for the device are said to be with 8.8mm of thickness. The device is supposed to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with four Krait cores with a clock speed of 2.7GHz and supported with Andreno 420 GPU for graphic control. The Xiaomi Mi5 is said to have a 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and will come with two eMMC 5.0 flash storage options of 16GB and 64GB. The device is supposed to have a 16MP primary camera to its back with f/1.8 lens and a 8MP secondary snapper to the front. The battery capacity for the device is said to be whopping 3600mAh.
It is however said that the Xiaomi Mi5 will have insufficient LTE-FDD bands support if the company plans to enter into US. Earlier reports have claimed that the Mi5 will have the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset. We would wait for things to get official on 15th.
