Complete details of upcoming Firefox LG L25 handset leaked

It seems that the Korean tech giant LG is planning out for a completely different smartphone segment running over the Firefox platform. Recently, sketches and specs of an LG handset dubbed as the LG L25 have been leaked by @upleaks. Moreover, the leaking source has said that this handset would however be centric to Japanese markets only as few screenshots of the device showing the Japanese carrier KDDI have also been leaked alongwith.

In addition to this, a complete specs sheet showing the hardware for the device has also been leaked out by the same source. This spec sheet reveals the device to be a mid-ranger. What can be made out is that the device would be having a 4.68” display with 720p resolution and a pixel density of 313ppi. The dimensions show the device to be of 10.5mm thickness and 148 grams of weight. The handset would bake a Snapdragon 400 under the hood with a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU supported with a substantial 1.5GB of RAM and 16Gb of internal storage.

The back of the device would sport a 8MP primary camera and a 2.1MP front facing secondary camera. There would be some good connectivity options with Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and LTE. The pricing of the device is still a secret and is expected to be hitting the market around next month or so. We will bring you with more official details once there is a word from the company.

HTC M8 Eye arrives at the China’s TENNA certification. More leaked images and specs.

Well, there are much rumors in the industry about the HTC M8 Eye that is tipped to have a whopping 13MP camera with other similar specs similar to the HTC One M8 released earlier this year. The good news is that the device has made its way to the Chinese mobile certification TENNA. Yes we have also got with some photos and specification details of the device.

This device that has passed through TENNA certification has arrived with model number HTC M8Ew. The “W” moniker is to resemble the compatibility of the device with China’s WCDMA networks. From the images above, it is clear that there is no major change in design compared to the HTC One M8 and only the camera seems to have been boosted considerably to 13MP from 4MP existing.

Upleaks has also went out leaking some of the specs for the device. The HTC M8 Eye here holds the codename as Desire Eye with 5.2” display having 1080p resolution, a powerful Snapdragon 801 chipset with quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and a 2GB of RAM support. The handset is tipped to come with IPX certification for water resistance, 32GB of built-in storage and a 2400mAh of battery capacity. The Desire Eye would be running Android OS topped with Sense UI.

The Company is expected to hold a press event on October 8 coming week when it is likely to unveil this device officially. Stay tuned to Doi-Toshin for more updates on it.

HTC Desire 820 specs, info on 2 HTC Smartwatches leaked

Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is preparing to unveil the first 64-bit Android smartphone HTC Desire 820 at the IFA 2014 beginning next week. In addition, HTC is also expected to introduce two new smartwatches in September.

HTC had recently published a teaser pic on its Weibo account saying (Translated) “We look forward to the next one first HTC is ______? and hinting that it will be the HTC 820.

The above pic gives the timeline when its previous devices first introduced the new technologies. For instance, HTC was the first to use Android OS in a smartphone in 2008 (HTC Dream), first to introduce 1080p display in 2012 (HTC Butterfly), first to use f/2 in an Android smartphone primary camera in 2012 (HTC One X) and so on.

Now HTC Desire 820 would be the first Android smartphone having a Qualcomm 64-bit processor. This has been officially confirmed by the company by posting the following pic with the tagline “# World’s first 8-core 64 phone # Yes, this is the first” (translated). Interestingly, a similar pic was posted by Qualcomm two days back.

It was earlier thought that the HTC Desire 820 will sport an octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU. However, a new leak by @upleaks suggests that HTC’ s new Desire 820 (codename A50) will host a Qualcomm MSM8916 64 bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz. Other specs revealed by @upleaks include a 5.5-inch HD display, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 13MP primary rear camera and 8MP front-facing camera. The device will pack a 2600mAh battery.

@upleaks has also leaked information about two upcoming HTC smartwatches – HTC WWY and HTC CWZ. These names appear to be the codenames of these smartwatches. HTC WWY will sport a 1.8-inch 32 x 160p display and a 100mAh battery. It will be water resistant with IP57 certification and may also pack in a fitness tracker. It will be launched sometime in September.

The HTC CWZ is an Android Wear smartwatch that will be released in September across North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Japan, Brazil, Korea and Taiwan. Since both the new HTC smartwatches will allegedly be launched in September, it is quite possible that the company will announce them at the IFA.

LG G Watch: Boot Animation, Watch Faces, Variant leaked

LG has already announced its LG G Watch in the middle of March and has special website for it. LG G Watch is one of the first to use Google’s Android Wear for its smartwatches. Android Wear is a slightly different Android version developed specifically for wearables. The LG G Watch is expected to be released soon in the near future.

Meanwhile, @upleaks has leaked system dump of the LG G Watch on its Twitter account. It shows several interesting details about the smartwatch. The leaks include a video of the boot animation for the LG G Watch and several watch faces that will be available for the G Watch. These are colorful watch faces in various designs and colors. The user can choose whichever display he fancies. There is a choice available from digital, analogue, black & white or in color. In each category there will be available different varieties that one can select.

There is another rumor regarding LG G Watch. Another variant of the G Watch has been spotted on the website of the Korean Carrier LH U Plus. It is the LG–W120L as can be seen in the pic below:

                                           

LG G Watch model number LG-W100 has already appeared at the FCC. So the LG-W120L must be another variant of the LG G Watch.  LG-W100 needs a smartphone for calling or taking calls. The LG-W120L model is expected to have cellular connectivity.
