Lenovo Vibe S1 with octa-core chipset visits TENNA

Earlier this year, just before the MWC 2015, many Lenovo handsets had appeared in a series of leaked images. However, there was no official word from the Chinese tech giant confirming the existence of those device then, but now it seems that the Lenovo Vibe S1 with some powerful specs is likely to official soon as the handset has recently paid an visit to China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center.


The handset that is said to be made with a plastic body has some upper mid-range segments specs. The dimensions of the handset show it to be 143 x 70.8 x 7.85 mm weighing 130 grams and runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. The handset has a 5inch display with 1080p resolution and comes with a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. to its back, there would be 13MP primary camera with LED flash and the front will be having a 8MP secondary selfie camera. The Lenovo Vibe S1 has an LTE connectivity with 2GB of RAM memory, 16GB of internal storage and additional microSD card support for expandable memory.


The handset will be coming in seven different color options like black, pink and silver etc. The launch of the device would be initially in China followed by other countries.

Gionee M5 likely to have dual batteries giving huge battery life. Pays visit to TENNA

Well, most of the smartphone users have been these days finding the ways to expand their battery life. For this there are a lot many compromising alterations to be made at your end  like lower the screen brightness, change settings from Global to LTE, removing of more battery hungry apps. However, the Gionee M5 has arrived with a wonderful solution to this!


The smartphone manufacturer has just released the teaser that shows that the Gionee M5 will have two batteries contained inside the handset. So on completion of one battery, the handset will switch to the other. However, the exact size of the batteries is yet not known, but Gionee claims that the two batteries would be sufficient enough to offer a whopping 4 days of battery life.


The Gionee M5 handset has recently paid an visit to TENNA which shows that the handset will host an 5.5inch 720p AMOLED display, a 2GB of RAM memory and a quad-core 1.3GHz chipset on board. The handset would be running the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop and would be having a 16GB of internal storage. To its back there would be a 8MP primary camera with LED flash and its front would be having a 5MP of secondary camera on-board. The handset would be measuring dimensions 152 x 76 x 8.6mm. Vivo X5 Pro appears again on TENNA showing up a whopping 4150mAh of battery

Earlier this week, we told you about the much rumored Vivo X5 Pro paying its visit to Chinese certification TENNA. The specs for the handset being listed on TENNA has also given some good bit of information about what the device has to offer. The device ha now once again paid an visit to TENNA showing up some of the specs which were not included previously. Now the information about the battery life has appeared which shows the device to be having a whooping 4150mAh of battery life.


The Vivo X5 Pro is supposed to have a 5.5inch Super AMOLED display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. To its heart would be 1.7GHz octa-core chipset. However, comring to other major flagships, this handset is said to have just 2GB of RAM memory and a 32GB of built-in storage. To its back would be 13MP primary camera with f/1.2 aperture and the front would have a 5MP secondary camera for video chats.


The handset would come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed and will have a built-in Hi-Fi sound system. Previous reports have shown the handset to be having a Type-C USB port connector, a retina scanner, and front camera capable of taking 32MP selfies.

Two Lenovo smartphones K50 and A7600 running Android Lollipop appears at TENNA

Lenovo after the acquisition of Motorola Mobility, is currently the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Moreover, since past few years, the company has shown very good growth patterns and has offered touch competition to rivals like Samsung and others. The company now seems to arrive with two new handsets running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop that would come pre-installed.


The first handset is the Lenovo K50 which is said to have a 5.5inch display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and bakes the powerful octa-core 1.7GHz chipset which is mostly the MediaTek one. The camera options for the device include a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary front-facing camera. The device is said to have a good 2GB of RAM memory and a 16GB of internal storage along with microSD card slot for expandable memory. The device has a 7.9mm of thickness and weighs 150 grams.


The second model is said to be the Lenovo A7600 having a similar display size like that of the K50 however the resolution is 720p HD instead of 1080p full HD. The device would have a 1.5GHZ octa-core MediaTek chipset, 13MP primary camera, 5MP secondary camera, 2GB of RAM memory and 8GB on internal expandable storage.

Well, Xiaomi started its year 2015 with the two big launches of flagship handset Mi Note and Mi Note Pro and a entry level handset Redmi 2 – an successor to its Redmi 1S. Now according to the reports, we can expect a more refreshed version for the Redmi Note as a similar device has appeared at the Chinese certification TENNA. This might be an bit marginal improvement over the existing affordable Redmi Note.

Last week Xiaomi kicked its 2015 crusade with its two new high-end flagship handset the Xiaomi Mi Note and the Xiaomi Note Pro both hosting some very stunning specs along with many features introduced by the company. However, the company’s journey to bring affordable smartphones continue and a new Xiaomi Leadcore with $80 is the upcoming handset from the company that has recently paid a visit to Chinese certification TENNA.


This means that the company has pushed itself in cutting the prices of it entry-level handset and the Xiaomi Leadcore is expected to have a quad-core LC1860C chip on-board. This would be supported with the Mali T628 GPU for graphic control. In case of looks and appearance, this would be wuite similar to the recently announced Xiaomi Redmi 2 which comes with a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz with a Adreno 306 GPU.


The pace at which the Chinese manufacturer is progressing and its diverse range of affordable smartphone right from low-end specs to high end specs, it seems we could soon see it occupying top positions. The successor of the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is all set to arrive in international markets soon as the yet to announced Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 having model number SM-G7200 has recently given an appearance at TENNA – China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center.


The specs for the device are out the shows up the Galaxy Grand 3 to have a 5.5inch display with a 720p resolution. The dimensions for the device are said to be 7.95mm of thickness and 140grams of weight. This means that the Grand 3 would be much thinner and lighter than the Grand 2 having a 163 grams of weight and 8.9mm thickness.

New Oppo R8207 Certified by TENNA, Oppo Find 7, 7a included in Oppo Black Friday Sale

Another new phone from another Chinese manufacturer has passed through TENNA, the Chinese equivalent to United States’ FCC. Oppo’s new mid-range smartphone Oppo R8207 has been recently certified by TENNA. In another news, Oppo’s Find 7 and 7a were included by the company in its Black Friday 2014 Pack.


The new Oppo R8207 is quite a thin smartphone just 6.85mm thick, with a 5-inch TFT HD (720 x 1080p) display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, has a 2 GB of RAM and a 16 GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128 GB. Cameras include a13MP camera with LED flash at the back and a 5MP selfie camera in the front. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB v2.0 port and audio jack.

Looking at the specs and design, the Oppo R8207 appears much similar to Apple’s iPhone 6 or the Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A-series of smartphones. So if the pricing is right, this Oppo’s new device might go on to become pretty successful in the market.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Model SM-G360P gets FCC certified

Although Samsung plans to reduce the number of its smartphone models, there are still a few in the pipeline. After announcing the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime a couple of months back, we had another selfie-centric phone, the Galaxy Core Prime passing through TENNA last month. It was also listed for pre-order by Indian online retailer Flipkart.


We now have the Galaxy Core Prime getting FCC certification in the US. This is an entry-level CDMA smartphone with model no. SM-G360P, headed to US carriers. The FCC label of the handset carries the customer service no. of Boost Mobile indicating that the device will probably be launched by this operator. However, the Galaxy Core Prime model SM-G360P may well be heading to Sprint as the handset supports LTE bands 25, 26 and 41 which are compatible with the Sprint network.

The specs of model SM-G360P passing through FCC are somewhat different from the specs of Galaxy Core Prime leaked via Flipkart earlier, so this may be a variant of that phone. This model has a 4.5” LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 800, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 32-bit and 64-bit support, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal expandable memory, a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and a 2,000mAh battery. The handset runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat coupled with Samsung’s own TouchWiz.


The new Samsung Galaxy Core Prime could be a good buy in the affordable segment. Indian variant of the device is priced at about $140 but its pricing in the US is not known. Since the handset has been certified by FCC, its official announcement is expected soon.

Huawei to officially announce 5.5” Honor 6 Plus with dual rear camera on December 16

Chinese company Huawei Technologies is preparing to introduce a new 5.5-inch smartphone in its Honor series. The new phone will be called Honor 6 Plus and it has already received certification from TENAA, the Chinese certification agency like the FCC of US.

The most striking feature of Honor 6 Plus is that it will have 2 cameras on the back and the company is expected to officially unveil the phone on December 16. The dual camera will have re-focus and 3D capture functionality, similar to that of the duo-camera of HTC One M8. However, we will know more details about it only after its official launch.

The Honor 6 Plus has a thickness of only 7.5 mm (dimensions are 150.4 mm x 75.68 mm x 7.5 mm) and weighs 165 gm. Apart from the 5.5-inch FHD TFT display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, the 4G handset will feature 1.8GHz Huawei Hisilicon Kirin 930 octa-core processor, mali-T628 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 64 GB, an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing one. The device will have a 3500mAh battery and will come with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime with LTE connectivity leaks in images

After announcing the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime last month, it seems there is yet another selfie-centric Prime handset from the Korean tech giant and this time it would arrive with LTE connectivity. Recently, several version of the Galaxy Core Prime have passed through TENNA with model numbers SM-G3606, G3608 and G3609 alll of which are dual-SIM and offering TDD-LTE connectivity. Two of these models are supposed to have support for international LTE connectivity. Indian online retailer Flipkart has already kept the handset on pre-order with some more better images for the device. However, the listed handset doesn’t have support for LTE version and offers only one SIM slot. Please note that these specs have yet to be confirmed by Samsung.

HTC M8 Eye arrives at the China’s TENNA certification. More leaked images and specs.

Well, there are much rumors in the industry about the HTC M8 Eye that is tipped to have a whopping 13MP camera with other similar specs similar to the HTC One M8 released earlier this year. The good news is that the device has made its way to the Chinese mobile certification TENNA. Yes we have also got with some photos and specification details of the device.

This device that has passed through TENNA certification has arrived with model number HTC M8Ew. The “W” moniker is to resemble the compatibility of the device with China’s WCDMA networks. From the images above, it is clear that there is no major change in design compared to the HTC One M8 and only the camera seems to have been boosted considerably to 13MP from 4MP existing.


Upleaks has also went out leaking some of the specs for the device. The HTC M8 Eye here holds the codename as Desire Eye with 5.2” display having 1080p resolution, a powerful Snapdragon 801 chipset with quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and a 2GB of RAM support. The handset is tipped to come with IPX certification for water resistance, 32GB of built-in storage and a 2400mAh of battery capacity. The Desire Eye would be running Android OS topped with Sense UI.
