Apple iPad Air 2 details emerge with close-up images getting leaked

Apple iPad Air 2 seems to be all set to break covers and would arrive anytime soon. Recent reports have fetched out some of the details of the upcoming Apple iPad adding a feather-to-the-cap where the iPad Air 2 is tipped to be the thinnest tablet on the planet yet. It is believed that this new version would be squeezed by 0.5mm compared to existing iPad Air. Some shifts in the physical hardware location is also possible with more recessed volume buttons and the microphone being shifted at the back near the camera.

The Apple iPad Air 2 would come with the company’s new Apple A8 chipset under the hood with a double 2GB of RAM. Moreover, the TouchID fingerprint tech is supposed to be built in the home button with the latest Apple Pay features included. However, one thing that fans might miss here is the lack of NFC feature introduced for Apple’s mobile payment services. The rear camera would be lifted to measure 8MP with a probable bump likely to be seen in the front-facing camera as well.

Apple is supposed to bring a minimum storage option of 32GB with other two options of 64GB and 128GB. Along with the Black and White version, a gold version of the device is too expected. In addition to the details, some design photos of the device have also been leaked with a very similar design to the existing iPad Air. Some back view and side view images have also been leaked showing it to be ultra-slim with a 7mm expected thickness.

Apple has a lot of activities going on right now. After the successful launch of its two latest models, Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus bagging 10 million units sold on its first week, stories are already circulating that the Apple iPad Air 2 would be on its way this coming month, while the company is  reserving next year for the release of iPad mini. I am certain this news, despite the unconfirmed status at the moment, would excite tech enthusiast, Apple non-loyalists notwithstanding.

A report from Taiwan states that the second generation for the company’s tablet pc, the Apple iPad Air, would be ready for launching next month, specifically this October 21.

How is it any better from the first Apple iPad Air?

Considering the limited details we have as of now of the rumoured second generation Apple iPad Air, it would be safe to point out that the edge of the new model from its predecessor is its memory capacity. It would be housing 2GB of RAM, which is twice the size of the original Apple iPad Air, and even of the two new iPhones, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Another snapshot of the Apple iPad Air 2 sporting Touch ID, is leaked

It is almost confirmed that Touch ID would be the part of all the upcoming Apple’s 2014 iOS releases. Earlier reports already revealed that Apple iPad Air 2,iPhone 6 and iPad mini 3 would feature the embedded fingerprint scanner.

Recently another snapshot suspecting the Apple iPad Air 2 was tweeted by Steve Hemmerstoffer, an editor with French site NWE. The tweet reveals the image of an Apple iPhone 5s lying on top of the iPad Air 2. The second one is wrapped in protective plastic. The important part of the image is the Touch ID embedded home button,confirming the fingerprint scanner on the sequel to the full-sized 9.7 inch version of Apple’s tablet line. Touch ID fingerprint sensors  will most likely come into execution as Apple launches iOS 8 with new Touch ID APIs for developers. It will replace logins and passwords in apps.

Apple iPad Air 2 is expected to sport a new rear camera from 5 megapixel sensor to 8 megapixel shooter. The front facing camera will be updated from 1.2 megapixels to 1.5 megapixels.Moreover, the next generation of iPad Air will also incorporate True Tone dual-LED flash, Burst Mode, and Slow-Motion video capture mode just like its sibling iPhone.
