Specs for the third-generation Moto X leak

Last September in 2014, Motorola unveiled its second-generation Moto X. the Moto X was however soon taken over in terms of specs, by the company’s owm Motorola DROD Turbo and the Motorola Nexus 6. Now we have some new for the specs of the third-generation of Moto X.

Based on the recent report published, the upcoming Moto X would be having the same 5.2inch display panel with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution as was seen in the DROID Turbo. This means the handset will have a pixel density of whopping 565ppi. This time, the handset is supposed to feature a powerful 4GB of RAM memory and a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset. The handset is said to be coming in two variants of 32GB and 64GB. To its back, there would be a 16MP Clear Pixel camera while its front would be hosting a 5MP secondary camera for video chats. The device is said to be coming with the Android 5.1.1 pre-installed.

The handset is pretty likely to be unveiled in the month of September.

Nexus X rumoured pre-installed with new Google Apps Folders

There are a lot of rumors about Nexus X or Nexus 6 from sources close to Motorola since a month ago. It is not decided yet whether the name will be Nexus X or Nexus 6. However, Google and Motorola were planning to avoid the Nexus 6 because of possible legal issues.

The device is rumored to feature a 5.9-inch display running on full QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution and will have a Snapdragon 805.  On top of that it is also will be having a 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and pre-installed with Android 5.0.  The design will look like a bigger version of Moto X.

The new addition to the existing rumor is that the rear camera will have optical image stabilization (OIS). The two grills on the front of the Nexus will be stereo speakers and the battery will be 3200 mAh.

According to undisclosed sources, the power and volume buttons will be moved to the lower part of the body. The home screen will be installed by default with Google Apps, but there are some interesting changes. There will be an additional of Drive folder which will include the Drive app, as well as the companion Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps.  Moreover, there will be a Play folder which housed Play Music, Books, Movies & TV and Newsstand. There is also a possibility of new messaging apps. Our best bet is that it is Hangout app. Since Google announced that the company will be changing the icon with a green color theme.

There is further detail on pricing and release date. However, the rumor claimed that it will be released around mid-October.

Moto X (Gen 2): An Impressive Upgrade by Motorola

The successor of Moto X arrives after six months of its release in India. Motorola labeled it as Moto X (Gen 2) along with the Moto G (Gen 2) and Moto 360 smartwatch at an IFA 2014 event on Friday.

While announcing the smartphone, the company stressed that the new Moto X offers “pure style and pure performance”, but the pricing of the Moto X (Gen 2) has not been disclosed yet in India. Motorola confirmed that the smartphone will be made available on Flipkart.

The display on the second generation model is a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p screen with a density of 423 ppi, powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor along with 2GB of RAM.

Motorola has also upgraded the Moto X’s 10-megapixel camera to a 13-megapixel unit, which now has an f/2.25 lens and supports 4K video recording. There is also a dual-LED ring flash around the lens. There is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera capable of full-HD (1080p) video recording.

The new Moto X (Gen 2) runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, and the company has confirmed it will roll out an Android L update in due course. It has been launched in two storage variants, 16GB and 32GB, but there is no microSD card slot for expansion.

The notifications on the Moto X (Gen 2) can be expanded by pulling down with two fingers. It comes preloaded with multiple Google apps and also includes four of Motorola’s own apps – Motorola Migrate, Moto Display, Motorola Assist, and Motorola Alert. The Moto X (Gen 2) also ships with a “turbo charger” that adds 8 hours of battery life to the Moto X after charging the phone for just 15 minutes.

The company did announce the US pricing of the device which is $499.99 (roughly Rs. 30,114) for an unlocked 16GB unit and $99 on-contract respectively.

Moto X+1 likely to come with 3D display and optical zoom

The Moto X+1 is making much noise just before its official unveiling that is expected next week on September 4^th. Earlier today we spotted the first press image of the device appearing on the web and now we are getting more info regarding the device.

According to a source Hellomotohk, the Moto X+1 will have a camera which will feature optical zoom. Now this would certainly be a very novel feature but we think it is surely not going to offer the 10x optical zoom as found in the latest released Samsung Galaxy K Zoom.

Another interesting piece of information that comes regarding the Moto X+1 is that the smartphone could even host a 3D display similar to the found in the recently launched Amazon Fire Phone. Well, if Motorola trends on this path, we believe that there would be some kind of sensors to unlock the gesture interaction with the phone. We expect that the upcoming Moto X+1 will inherit some of the Moto X features like Touchless Controls and Active Display.

It is to no doubt that the Moto X+1 is the next device from the Motorola camp. The Moto X+1 is quite expected to break covers earlier next month and recently a press image of the device has been spotted on Twitter. The image has been posted by the famous leakster @evleaks which is believed to be a gift that marks his recently announced retirement.

The recent press image of Moto X+1 shows the device to be announced with a Verizon branding. The image shows the device to be coming in two version of which one comes with a wooden back cover and the other in a black color scheme. The upcoming Moto X+1 has a similar design to that of the predecessor Moto X with a added front-facing stereo speakers. The device hosts a very curious camera set-up on its back where the LED flash has a dual set-up which includes small flash units on both sides of the sensor.

The Moto X+1 is ecpected to break covers next week on 4^th September and the device will likely host a 5.2” display with 1080p resolution, 2GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset.

September 25 Is Release Date of Moto X+1?

Moto X+1 release date has not announced yet but some rumor news has slightly published that the Smartphone may be available on August. However, Moto 360 smartwatch is also hope to release with the Smartphone and Motorola reported that it will be release late summer. However, a new rumor has published news that Moto X+1 will be available at the last week of September.

Droid Life has published the expecting date of Moto X+1 when the release of the market. According to the source, the new Smartphone will be released on 25 September that is too early fall instead of late summer. However, Verizon will be the carrier of the new Motorola Smartphone but there is no other rumor regarding the date. For that reason, we need to wait for the next flagship of Motorola because Moto X+1 may be available before summer too!

September is the month of releasing many new Smartphones of Samsung, Apple and now Motorola is going to add another. However, Moto X did not have a good market that was released on August last year. However, the AT&T is the maker of the new Smartphone that is confident to have a good market for Moto X+1. At the sometime, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be released during the last 2 week of the month. However, iPhone 6 will probably appear in the market in September although rumors indicating it will be available on August.

Moto X+1 is possibly the next device to be arriving from the Motorola camp and over the past few times, the device has made several appearances through leaks. A video showing the handset has recently leaked which shows the Moto X+1 to be dressed in a plastic cover.

Although at the moment, there is nothing new about the device but the currently available boot animation shown at the start of the video below makes it look bit different from other Moto devices seen till date. This is the only evidence at the moment to predict the device to be a Moto X+1.

Taking a look at the video, it shows some standard features like notifications and Active Display which looks quite similar to the one in Moto X. The Moto X+1 is considered to be a successor to last year’s Motorola flagship and so it believed to pack a larger display with 1080p screen resolution, 2GB of RAM and three storage options like that seen in the Moto X. The camera for the device and its chipset are believed to remain the same.

Moto X+1 Handset Image Leaked

Motorola’s upcoming flagship Smartphone photo leaked recently. Evleaks posted the photo on the internet; it has spread around and alleged as the Moto X+1. The image not so clear but we still can determine that it is a new mobile device protected with an enclosure. Usually manufacturers don’t want to reveal an upcoming model handset and they enclose it in a protective covering.

From the image it’s clear that Smartphone has software keys are at the bottom of the screen, it is much similar to Moto E, Moto G and Moto X, so most probably it would run a relatively stock version of Android OS. Apart from these, there is not much to say about the device as most of its parts are covered by the protective shell.

Evleaks said that the image was captured from a Chicago Transit Authority Train, which means the new smartphone was caught in public and that’s the reason why it was cover by a protective shell. It is not to determine the size of the display of the smartphone from this blurry image but it must be no smaller than 5 inches. The new smartphone will be an upgrade of existing Moto X which is having 4.7 inch screen.

This would be the 4th launched by Motorola as part of its new business plan. Initially Moto X was released; later the company launched two budget phones Moto G and Moto E. Now, it looks Motorola is all set to launch its next big device of the season Moto X+1.
