It’s mostly confirmed! Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to have a 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM

Much talks for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 have been going on these days and the latest reports coming from the industry show that we could expect an very early launch in the very next month August at a mobile expo.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 could be the next big announcement from the company after the announcement of Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge earlier this year. The device is expected to host a 5.7inch Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, the device is expected to have the home baked 64-bit Exynos 7422 chipset.

According to the latest reports coming from SamMobile, it is almost certain that the handset is likely to have a 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. May of the previous rumors for the handset have also suggested the same RAM memory size. This means that with such a huge RAM memory, the Note 5 is likely to flaunt some heavy multi-taking abilities on-board.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is the much talked after handset currently in the town and now the references of the device along with its curved-edge sibling has been recently spotted on the Samsung website. Samsung Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Rumored to Use Different Processors

Samsung is expected to release two new devices soon, Samsung Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. It is rumored that both devices will be having a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED display screen with 1440 x 2560 resolutions which is the same resolution as Note 4 and S6 series. However, the difference is that Note 5 will come with flat display while S6 Edge Plus will come with dual curved edges.

According to the rumors, the upcoming two devices will be featuring glass back cover. If it is true then most probably Note 5 will come with a non-removable battery and without the microSD card slot. However, there is no confirmation till to date.

On the hardware side, Note 5 will be running on Samsung’s very own Exynos 7422 chipset which is designed to be the first all-in-on SoC.  Exynos 7422 chipset will include all the important internal components which include CPU, GPU, RAM, internal storage and LTE modem in one chipset. Apparently, the LTE modem which is used in the chipset is Samsung’s exclusive “Shannon” LTE modem. However, the performance of this chipset is still unknown when compared with the octa-core processor which is used in Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

On the other hand, for the hardware side, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be running on Qualcomm hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset. It will have a 32GB internal storage size, 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, 5MP front camera and 3000 mAh battery size.

On the software side, it is rumored that the two upcoming devices will be pre-installed with Samsung TouchWiz user interface which is running on top of Android 5.1 OS which hopefully will solve the RAM management issues which currently found in Galaxy S6 series.

Samsung Display reported to be working for flexible displays for the Note 5 and Galaxy S7

After the big announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S Edge last month, rumors for the next Samsung flagship have already started to begin. An unnamed source from the hometown of South Korea has claimed that Samsung’s display division aka the Samsung Display is reportedly for the next flagship handset from the Samsung camp which would most probably be the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S7. As per the ETNews, Samsung has already announced that the company would need nearly 8 million panels for the upcoming Galaxy S7 as the production begins. As a result of this, the display production unit at Samsung has already started to expand its largest factory which is said to switch the manufacturing process from glass to polymide.

Polymide polymer has been very largely used in the manufacturing of OLED displays. However, the manufacturing using this material is bit difficult and Samsung would need to find a way to meet the demand. The new expansion of the manufacturing facility is said to be completed by this August. An Samsung official has claimed that

“The expansion is inevitable because it has been announced that Samsung Electronics have requested of 8 million flexible panels per month for Galaxy S7″.

Well another device that would be closely watched out this year would be Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with its display and there is also an edge version of the handset expected. This means we could expect the second generation Note Edge from the Korean tech giant ahead by this September.

Next year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 5 likely to have company’s own graphic processor

Just when Samsung’s this year’s flagship handsets Galaxy Note 4 and the Note Edge are gaining popularity, news for the upcoming Note 5 have already started floating in the market. Recent rumors coming from the company’s hometown South Korea show that the upcoming Note 5 might have a graphic processor completely designed by Samsung themselves. Rumors show that the Korean giant is all set in making its own GPU units by the mid of 2015 by incorporating the same in the Exynos chipsets that would be made completely in-house. This shows that the company might get ready with their new Exynos chipsets by next year and we would wait and surely like to get an official news from the company.
