Samsung Galaxy Mega 6 Starts Receiving KitKat 4.4.2 Update

Following the announcement of the latest Google Android OS, KitKat version 4.4 on September 2013, a couple of Samsung devices have received the update to the operating system, out of which the latest one to receive the update is the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6 tablet phone.


KitKat 4.4.2 updates for the tablet phone were made available to the public around the beginning of June. It first started rolling out in Russia via the Kies PC suite application. It is then quickly beginning to become available in other regions as well. The OTA (Over The Air) or automatic update is expected to be available very shortly through out different parts of the world.


If Over The Air update is not supported by your career or is not available in your region, you can update your device by installing the Kies application on your computer and connecting your device using a USB. Otherwise, if your mobile career has received the update, you can do so automatically by heading over to the “Check for Updates” option under the “Settings” menu.


Some of the new features that come with Kitkat include wireless printing capability, polished design, multitasking features, faster file sharing features, support for Emoji emotions and redesigned clock showing thin digits rather than bold hours, just to mention a few.


The tablet phone first came with Jelly Bean v. 4.2.2. Operating system. It has 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, an 8MP primary camera, and 6.3 inches display size to name a few of the features.
