Gionee Marathon M3 is the first Indian Android handset with a massive 5000mAh battery

The smartphone user community across the globe is always looking up with smartphones having more and more battery juice and along with some high-end specifications manufacturers are also paying much attention to the battery power of their devices. Recently, we saw Motorola coming up with a huge 3900mAh of battery life in its Motorola DROID Turbo, but that doesn’t seem to be enough. However, there are other handsets in the market that feature even more battery life. Yes, we are talking about the Gionee Marathon M3 a new handset that has been recently unveiled in India with a massive 5000mAh of battery life.


Specs wise the Gionee Marathon M3 falls in the mid-range affordable segment and is the first Indian handset to have a 5000mAh of battery life. The battery is sufficiently large to provide a talk-time of 32.4 hours and a stand-by time of 32.8 days. The handset is neither quite sleek enough as it measures 10.4 mm of thickness.


Looking to its specs, the Gionee Marathon M3 hosts a 5 inch IPS display having 1280×720 pixel resolution, baked with a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor supported with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. At is back lies a 8MP primary camera while its front has a 2MP secondary camera. The Marathon M3 runs the latest available Android 4.4 KitKat. The handset comes with dual-SIM capabilities and is likely to cost around 13K INR. Check out the images below.
