HP Stream 8 with Windows 8.1 launched in India for Rs 16,990

The HP Stream 8 that was earlier launched in the international markets back in September 2014 along with its sibling Stream 7 and now the tablet has paid its visit to the Indian markets. The device comes with an affordable price tag of Rs 16,990 and is available on online retail website Flipkart.


Looking to the specs for the device, needless to say it hosts a 8inch IPS display with some very good viewing angles and the good thing is that is has a micro-SIM card slot that comes with 3G connectivity. Under the hood lies a quad-core Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.8GHz and runs the latest Microsoft Windows 8.1 OS.


Additionally, it has also got a Intel HD graphics card for graphics support. The memory options for the device include a 1GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for 32GB of expandable memory. The camera options include a 5MP primary camera to its back and a 2MP secondary camera to its front. The dimensions show the tablet to be having a 8.9mm of thickness and comes with a battery capacity of 4000mAh.


The device tips the scales starting at 388 grams. In terms of connectivity, you can expect standard fare such as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and as we mentioned above, 3G support. Apart from the new tablet, the company has also released offerings like the HP 7 VoiceTab, Slate 6 VoiceTab II and more into the Indian market.
