NW-ZX2 is not a simple music playing device; it has the same software standard that is common for the devices of this era. Other than that, its hardware is quite modest.
It consists of 4 inch display screen with a pixel resolution of 480 x 854 along with Wi-Fi. It has Near Field Communication technology and it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
To store enormous amount of data, it has a built-in space of 128 GB. Also it has a slot for supporting microSD card. Official manufacturer of the device, Sony, states that the battery can play music up to 33 hours of FLAC (192KHz/24bit) or 60 hours of MP3 (128kbps).
However, no information has been mentioned regarding its RAM and processor, but it is known that it takes 4.5 hours to charge completely from zero.
Comparing it to the other devices, there is nothing unique in ZX2, but a person considering himself as an audiophile would find it quite impressive. It includes all kinds of benefits like hi-res audio playback, listening to music through Bluetooth and NFC with a single touch and has a support for many formats.
The weight of ZX2 is 235 g, while its price is $1,199 which makes it a top money device.
