Samsung is Releasing Samsung Z3 Which Comes with Tizen OS

Apart for releasing Android smartphone, apparently Samsung is also releasing smartphone which is running on Tizen OS.  Tizen is an operating system which is based on Linux and targeted at a very wide range of devices including smartphones, tablets, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) devices, smart TVs and many others. It is a project within Linux foundation and is governed by Technical Steering Group (TSG) which includes Samsung and Intel among others.


The first generation of Tizen OS smartphone from Samsung is Samsung Z1. It is only released in a certain locations worldwide with one of them is India. In order to attract more consumers, on top of the cheap pricing (cost less than $100), Samsung includes something called Joy Box which is a free entertainment pack containing movies, TV and music. Samsung Z1 is a 4-inch touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and it is running on a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 768MB RAM and a 4GB internal memory which can be expandable up to 64GB using a MicroSD card.


With Samsung Z1 selling pretty well, Samsung is releasing the next version of Tizen smartphone falls withing “Z” line, which is Samsung Z3 or also known as SM-Z300H. There is not many information on Samsung Z3 released to the public, however, according to some rumors, it comes with a 5-inch display size, quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage space, 5MP rear camera and 2MP selfie camera. On top of that, it will be pre-installed with Tizen 3.0.
