Samsung launches Galaxy Ace Style LTE with Super AMOLED Display in Germany

Samsung has introduced its new smartphone the Galaxy Ace Style LTE in Germany without much fanfare. This is a variant of the company’s Galaxy Ace 4 released in June this year. Galaxy Ace 4 has a 4-inch TFT display while the new Galaxy Ace Style LTE sports a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels.


The new handset has been listed on Samsung’s German website at some places as Galaxy Ace 4 and at others as Galaxy Ace Style LTE. Actually, Samsung had released a low-end smartphone Galaxy Ace Style earlier this year and the new handset is its upgraded version with Super AMOLED display and LTE.


Galaxy Ace Style LTE packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory expandable up to 64GB with microSD card, a 5 MP CMOS rear camera with LED flash capable of 720p HD video recording and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. The device is powered by a 1900 mAh battery that can last up to 11 hours of talk time for 3G and 9 hours of web browsing for LTE.

The Galaxy Ace Style LTE is a single-SIM smartphone phone and has a modern stylish design with a unique back cover distinguishable even in a crowd. You can differentiate it from Galaxy Ace 4 by the broad grey accent line in the center of its back cover. Its dimensions are 128.9×65.8×9.1 mm and it weighs 126 gm. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat. In terms of connectivity, the phone has LTE Cat4, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.


The smartphone appears to have been released only in Germany for now with no information about its global release. The Galaxy Ace Style LTE is available in Germany for €199 in Black and White colors.

Samsung Announced Price of Galaxy Core II

Earlier this week, Samsung announced the price and specs of their newest budget phone in the Galaxy Core lineup, the Galaxy Core II, which will come pre-installed with Android KitKat (4.4.2) operating system. The phone will have the latest TouchWiz UI interface and is announced to be retailed/sold for €179.


It was a little over a year ago that the 1st Core with 4.3-inches display was announced. And even though both the 1st Core and Core II resemble Galaxy S-series in design, the later comes with quite a lot of new features and improvements.


To mention some of the new features that Samsung introduced on Core II, the screen size of the phone is a bit larger than its predecessor and will have a size of 4.5 inches with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It will also weigh a bit heavier having a weight of 138 grams.


The phone will come with two color options which are white and black. It will also feature leather-like back plate which gives it a slick and smooth look.


In terms of camera, the phone will sport 5MP LED main camera with lots of features as well as a VGA front-facing camera.


When it comes to functionality, the headset will have a fast 1200 MHz Quad core processor as well as a RAM capacity of 768 MB, which isn’t too bad for a low cost headset. In fact, the phone is faster and more powerful than its predecessor as well as many other phones with equivalent spec sheets. Its 4 GB internal storage is expandable to up to 68 GB through the use of microSD cards and its battery has 2000 mAh capacity.

Aside from that, also announced were two other new budget phones namely Galaxy Ace 4 and Galaxy Young 2 both running Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system.


The Ace 4 will have a 4.0-inches display with 320 x 480 pixel screen resolution and will weigh 123.8 grams. The phone will also have a 5 MP LED rear camera, 4 GB internal storage capacity, and 1.0 GHz dual-core processor and will be sold with a price of €219.


While on the other hand, Galaxy Young 2 is the cheapest phone from the trio with a price tag of €99. The 3.5-inches headset will weigh 108 grams. Internal storage capacity of 4 GB, 512 MB RAM, 3.15 MP primary camera and 1 GHz processor are some of the features that the phone was announced to include to mention a few.


There is no information as far as when these phones will become available on the market except that they’re expected to be in the coming few months.

Samsung has expanded its Galaxy line up and launched four new models in its various Galaxy smartphone series. Among the new entrants is the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4, successor to the Galaxy Ace 3 in Samsung’s most successful line of affordable phones. The other new smartphones are successors to its Core, Young and Star series.


All the new models feature Samsung’s simplified TouchWiz Essence UI, run the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat and fall in the mid- and low-range categories.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is a single SIM handset available in two variants, 3G and LTE. It has the same 4-inch WVGA TFT 480 x 800p display like the Galaxy Ace 3, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. Both the Ace 4 versions have 4GB internal memory expandable up to 64GB with microSD card.


Both 3G and LTE versions have Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n, GPS (A-GPS + GLONASS) and Micro-USB connectivity options and are available in Iris Charcoal and Classic White colours


However, apart from the obvious network connectivity difference, both the models have certain other variations in features:


The Galaxy Ace 4 3G comes with 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and a 1500mAh battery. The Ace 4 LTE variant features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and packs a larger 1800mAh battery.


There is a slight variation in dimensions of both the devices. The Galaxy Ace 4 LTE in somewhat thicker and heavier with dimensions of 121.4×62.9x11mm and weight of 130.3 grams while the 3G variant has dimensions of 121.4×62.9×10.8mm and weighs 123.8 grams.
