Android based HP SlateBook PC with 14 inch display goes official

Last week, computing giant HP launched a new 14inch budget effective SlateBook PC that works on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and has been launched in the black and yellow color theme. The device bakes a NVIDIA Tegra 4 SoC with a quad-core CPU and a clock speed of 1.8GHz. The device comes with 2GB of DDR3 RAM with a option of 16, 32 and 64GB built–in expandable memory. The display is basically a BrightView WLED-backlit touch-sensitive unit with a Full HD resolution of 1080p. Some of its additional hardware components include a Beats Audio quad-speaker, front-facing HD webcam, WLAN and Bluetooth.

Just like a laptop, HP SlateBook too has got different connectivity ports like USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and one HDMI port. A 3.5mm audio jack with microphone functionality is also present. The SlateBook Pc measures 16mm in thickness and weighs 1.7kg and hosts a battery that can offer seamless operation for up to 9 long hours. In addition to the SlateBook, HP also announced its ChromeBook 11 with a 11” display and a 1366×768 pixel resolution. The ChromeBook comes with Samsung Exynos 5250 chipset with dual-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz.

The HP ChromeBook 11 comes with 16GB of built-in memory, a 100GB of free Google Drive for two complete years, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, two USB 2.0 ports, VGA webcam. The SlateBook 14 from HP will be available from August 6 for a price of $399 while the ChromeBook 11 will be available only in white color or turquoise one for a price of $249. Well, it seems HP has lot to offer to its fans this year ahead.
