AT&T Set to Bring 4G LTE Version of Galaxy Tab S

Last Thursday AT&T announced that they would be launching Samsung Galaxy Tab S in US market. This tab will also be equipped with 4G LTE connection as are the other of AT&T’s devices. So, AT&T would be the first to bring in a 4G LTE enabled Galaxy Tab S in United States.


According to Senior Vice President of Devices at AT&T Jeff Bradley “We are excited to bring the Samsung Galaxy Tab S to the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network,” he then further added “AT&T offers the largest selection of Samsung devices and the Galaxy Tab S with access to 4G LTE will bring innovative new features and capabilities to Android device users and we are proud that AT&T will be among the first to offer this to consumers.”

The 10.5 and 8.4 inch Galaxy Tab S tablets will come with 2560 x 1600 resolution AMOLED displays, 3GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage along with a microSD card slot. Tablet is to come in two versions one powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC and other by Samsung’s own Exynos 5 chipset. AT&T is going to use the Snapdragon version. The device would showcase an 8-megapixel camera on the back accompanied by a 2-megapixel front camera and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with lots of software features associated with the Magazine UX.

Until now AT&T has only said that it would be selling Galaxy Tab S in retail market. Nothing on the tablet’s launch date or price has been announced by the company. Samsung is going to launch Galaxy Tab S in July so AT&T would be expected release the device then. Other carriers like Sprint and Verizon are also expected to  jump in with their Galaxy Tab S versions in coming days.
