Meizu MX4 Pro"s launch Postponed to November

We already informed you about the Meizu’s upcoming, the MX4 Pro, would be launched on October 28. However, it turns out that the company is not yet ready to uncover its new high-end smartphone.

According to one of Meizu’s executives, the release of the MX4 Pro has been postponed to November. The upcoming Meizu MX4 Pro will reportedly come with a 5.4-inch display similar to the MX4. It has a fingerprint scanner that’s on par with other sensors on the market. The rumors of smartphone running Ubuntu Touch made the rounds online. By default, the high-end Chinese smartphone runs on Android KitKat OS with Meizu’s Flyme v4.0 UI on top of it.

The screen resolution of the MX4 Pro is heightened to 1,536 x 2,560 pixels (2K display), whereas the original MX4 comes with 1,152 x 1,920 pixels. In addition to the scanner, the Meizu MX4 Pro will be powered by a superior octa-core (Samsung Exynos 5430) processor. Notably, the original MX4 features an octa-core (MediaTek) processor.

Furthermore, the device will be backed by a good 3 GB+ of RAM. However, rumours are still pointing to a killer 4 GB of RAM. When it comes to camera, the MX4 Pro will sport a solid 20 MP front-facing unit, in addition to a mind-blowing 13 MP front-facing shooter to capture crystal-clear selfies.

The price of Meizu MX4 Pro is pegged to be 2,499 CNY in China, which roughly translates to US$406 and AU$462.  Like the MX4, the new smartphone will likely be in stores only in China, though customers in other markets should be able to order it online.
