Affordable Acer Liquid Z410 smartphone with 64-bit SoC and 4G LTE support announced at CES 2015

CES 2015 is here and will bring with it an abundance of new device announcements. Taiwanese manufacturer Acer has already gone ahead and revealed a new budget smartphone Acer Liquid Z410. The handset boasts of 64-bit processor and Cat. 4 LTE support but costs only €129 (about $154).


At this price, the Acer Liquid Z410 packs some decent specs inside its smart exterior. Specs include 4.5-inch qHD display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and pixel density of 245 ppi and a 64-bit, quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor with ARM Mali-T760 GPU and 4G LTE (Cat.4) support. There is a 5MP camera at the back with LED flash and a 2MP selfie camera at the front with an 80⁰ wide-angle lens. Unfortunately, Acer has not revealed details of its RAM and internal storage. The battery is also not specified but the company says that the battery will offer talk time of up to 5.5 hours and standby time of up to 400 hours.

The handset has a speaker at the front with DTS Studio Sound. Nothing is mentioned about the Android version it will run but there is talk that the Acer Liquid Z410 will run Android 4.4 Kitkat. The handset will have a new button “AcerRAPID” placed below the camera with which a user can access customizable actions to personalize the user experience. There is also Acer QuickTouch with which a user can control the device with easy one-finger gesture.


According to the company, “The combination of AcerRAPID™ and QuickTouch empowers the Liquid Z410 to get things done faster than ever.


The Acer Liquid Z410 will hit the shelves of EMEA countries (Europe, Middle East and Africa) by the end of February.
