The rumor mill has geared up much as the Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi is said to be preparing for the launch of Xiaomi Mi5 with the device appearing in number of leaks. However, there is yet another handset from the company that is likely to make news this month. Yes! We are talking about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 which too has appeared in leaks previously. The recent reports show that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is said to go official on January 15th.
The excellent thing is that the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is said to have and superior combination of price and specs. Sources say that the device could be priced anywhere in between $145-$160. Looking to its specs, the device is expected to have a 5.5inch display with a full HD 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The device would be powered with either 64-bit Snapdragon 615 or MediaTek MT6752 chipset. The storage options are pretty good with 2GB of RAM memory and 16GB of internal storage. The handset is expected to be running the Android 4.4 KitKat on-board topped with the MIUI interface. To its back, there is a 13MP primary shooter while its front has a 5MP secondary camera. The battery capacity of the device is said to 3100mAh.
It seems the competition in the Chinese smartphone market is heating up with days to come. Recently, rival Meizu launched it Charm Blue Note that too boasts very good specs on-board and now it seems Xiaomi is all set to take up the challenge. Well, whatever it is, it’s certainly a great news for the smartphone user community.
