There are only a few days left for Sony’s IFA media event on September 3 and already the Xperia Z3 pictures showing the dismantled handset have been leaked. Although we have seen numerous leaked photos of the Sony Xperia Z3 over the past few months, the new leaked set of images shows the handset from all the sides and gives us a peak at the insides as well.

Xperia Blog has got its hands on some very clear pictures of the disassembled handset. These photos seem to be those of Xperia Z3’s dual-SIM version. It is apparent that Sony’s new flagship packs a 3100mAh non-removable battery. You may recall that the Xperia Z2 sports a slightly bigger 3200mAh battery.

These pictures of the Sony Xperia Z3 more or less confirm what we have already seen but don’t give us a clue about its display. The device is thinner than its predecessor the Xperia Z2, with rest of the specs pretty much similar. The new Xperia Z3 is supposed to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 2.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon CPU, 3GB RAM and a 20.7MP primary camera, and it will surely be dust and water resistant like its predecessors.

Well, we will know more about the Xperia Z3 at the IFA 2014 show in about a week’s time when Sony is expected to officially announce the new flagship along with maybe the Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, the image and specs of which were leaked recently.

There is no more news about Sony Xperia Z2 but we have forgotten about the company new policy. Sony Xperia Z2’s new flagship will be to the West regions to spread out the market. This is not new to have new flagship because company has planned to release new flagship for Smartphones in every 6 months.

Sony is now looking for the new upcoming Xperia Z3 that is going to be released on September at IFA. Xperia Z1 was also announced officially at the same venue. Therefore, we have short information about Sony’s next flagship of Xperia Z3 with confirmation. Sony is concerned about the new upcoming Smartphone that is optimistic to get good market.

Xperia Z3 release has just few days left and a fan in China has leaked some unofficial pictures of the Smartphone. Xperia Z3 may come in rainbow of colors according to the leaked pictures of the Smartphone. However, Sony has not confirmed and reported anything about the leaked pictures as well as different colors of the device. However, Sony normally has black, white and purple color in it device. Therefore, rainbow in colors for Xperia Z3 may not a real deal for the fan. However, wait for a month and official announcement will show the right deal and colors availability by Sony. Sony Xperia Z2 now available in the US through Sony Online Store

Sony’s current flagship smartphone Xperia Z2 is now available for purchase in the United States. Sony’s official online store is offering the unlocked Xperia Z2 in the US for $699.99. The Japanese manufacturer started selling the handset across Europe and some other countries in April-May and the Xperia Z2 has officially arrived in the US in about 3 months which is pretty soon considering the company’s track record.

Earlier, Sony had confirmed that its unlocked Xperia Z2 would be available in the US only through its online store. However, later, a leaked image of the Xperia Z2 was spotted with the Verizon logo and speculations were rife whether the device will be available through Verizon. Well, this seems unlikely now at least for the present.

Sony is offering its international model D6503 in the US. This handset supports networks UMTS HSPA+ 850, 900, 1700, 1900 and 2100 MHz; GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz and LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17 and 20. So this device should work with T-Mobile, AT&T etc.

The Xperia Z2 is being offered at a $50 discount taking its price down from $749.99 to $699.99. The phone available in three colors – Black, White and Purple and is backordered at present. Its shipping date has not been revealed by the company as yet.

Sony Xperia Z2 boasts of a 5.2-inch (1080 x 1920p) IPS LCD touchscreen,  Quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory with microSD card slot to expand up to 128GB, a 20.7MP primary rear camera, a 2.2MP front-facing camera and a non-removable 3200 mAz battery. The operating system is Android 4.4.2 KitKAt. It is IP55 and IP58 certified for water and dust resistance.

Is the Sony Xperia Z3 getting certified?

Is Sony readying to release the next smartphone in its flagship Z series? It would seem so. There is already a growing interest about when Sony is planning to launch the Xperia Z3 and now it seems that the Z3 is going through the certification process.

Around a month ago, we had some Xperia Z3 leaks regarding metal frame and specs. It was speculated that the Xperia Z3 might be launched by Sony sometime in August this year. Sony’s Xperia Z2 was released in March 2014. Going by the fact that Sony releases a new model of Xperia Z smartphone every 6 months, the speculations might be true and we might get to see the new Xperia Z3 in August/September 2014, possibly at the IFA 2014 in Berlin.

Around a fortnight ago, some Sony smartphone models have appeared in TÜV Rheinland certification. TÜV Rheinland is a certification company that certifies products, systems, functional safety etc. The models that were certified are: PM-0800-BV (D6603), PM-0804-BV (D6643), PM-0801-BV (D6616), PM-0806-BV (D6653), PM-0802-BV, PM-0803-BV and PM-0807-BV. Blog of Mobile, a Japanese Website, has spotted the above Sony model numbers on TÜV Rheinland. The site believes that these are the model numbers of the next Sony flagship Xperia Z3.

Of these, news for two models D6603 and D6653 has been leaked earlier. Model number D 6603 had appeared in a benchmark test and had features similar to Xperia Z2. Model D6653 had been spotted on the Indonesian Postel not long ago.

Xperia Z2 has model numbers beginning with D65 and hence it is quite possible that the models beginning with D66 that were certified on TÜV Rheinland, are of the next Sony flagship, the Xperia Z3. Of course, this is just a speculation. In actual fact we can only say that some models of Sony’s new upcoming high-end smartphone have been certified on June 13, 2014. As to which new Sony smartphone, only time will tell.

Sony Xperia Z2a Full Specs Revealed, to hit Taiwan in July

A few days back Sony had announced its Xperia Z2a smartphone for Taiwan but had not revealed much of its details. However, it was considered to be similar to the Xperia ZL2 that was introduced in Japan. Well now more specifications for the Xperia Z2a have been revealed.

As thought earlier, it’s specs match those of the Xperia ZL2 except for the 16GB internal storage which is half that of Xperia ZL2.

According to reports, Sony Xperia Z2a appears to be a compact version of Sony’s flagship smartphone Xperia Z2. It has a smaller screen (5-inch) as compared to the Xperia Z2’s 5.2-inch screen and a smaller 3000 mAh battery, that has 200 mAh less capacity than the 3200 mAh battery of the Xperia Z2. Xperia Z2a has a plastic back panel while the Xperia Z2 has a glass back panel. The rest of the specs are quite identical in both.

The Sony Xperia Z2a features a 5-inch Triluminos display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a Qualcomm 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable through microSD. The device has a 20.7MP primary shooter same as Xperia Z2 and both run Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. The Xperia Z2a is also dust and water resistant.

The Sony Xperia Z2a will hit the Taiwan stores in July and will probably be available in the Asian markets only. Its pricing is not yet revealed but would surely be less that the Z2. Sony fans who want a slightly smaller and cheaper version of the Xperia Z2 might find the Xperia Z2a a good buy. Let us know your thoughts.

The LG G3 is shaping up to be one immoral device, not only on account of the 5.5″ Quad HD display, but also in terms of chassis design and versatility. Thanks to Techblog.gr we can confirm the international LG G3 will sport a removable back cover, swappable 3000 mAh battery, and a microSD slot for storage expansion.

After many leaks,we are able to see the LG G3 with the back cover off. The snapshot above confirms the exact version D855 we are going to get from Korean giants.The official announcement is on tomorrow,but already LG G3’s specs are out for everyone to see.

Sony Xperia ZL2 as seen through Pictures and Videos

Sony’s new model the Xperia ZL2 (SOL25) was launched in Japan a few days back by KDDI. The handset bears a close resemblance to the Xperia Z2. However, it has a smaller 5 inch screen while the Xperia Z2 has a 5.2 inch one.  Also, the Sony Xperia ZL2 has a smaller but a little thicker chassis than the Z2 and its back is made of plastic and not of glass as in Xperia Z2.

Xperia ZL2 uses the same vertical alignment (VA) display panel like the Xperia Z1 as opposed to the In Plane Switching (IPS) display panel. Users prefer the IPS display as it has many better features. The IPS display has a quicker response time than the VA display so that there is no distortion while watching action movies etc.

Sony Xperia ZL2 will be released by the end of this month i.e. May 2014. It will be available in three colors – turquoise, black and white. Though it is being launched in Japan now, it will hopefully release in other countries soon.

Sony Xperia Z2 with Verizon logo spotted again

Just at the beginning of the month we saw Verizon-branded Sony’s Xperia Z2 posted on its Google+ page. However, the image was promptly deleted and Sony representatives said that a mock-up image was mistakenly posted.

Well, now again the Verizon-branded Sony Xperia Z2 was spotted on the Sony’s Korean microsite for the product. The backside of the handset clearly shows the Verizon logo and the 4G LTE symbol beneath it. Of course, Sony has removed the image this time round too, replacing it with a phone having the Sony logo on the backside of the device.

 

Recent leaks lead to a speculation that maybe Sony’s flagship Xperia X2 will be launched through Verizon. Last month we saw that FCC had approved the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet for Verizon. However, although the Xperia Z2 is Sony’s flagship smartphone, it has not yet been launched in the US. Sony had confirmed early in the month that the device would be launched in the US this summer and would be available only through its online store.

So why does Sony keep posting Verizon-branded Xperia Z2? First time it might be a mistake, but a second time too? Maybe the phone is really meant for Verizon, or maybe not. Maybe the company’s plans are delayed due to shortages or perhaps the company changed its mind about Verizon. Earlier, T-Mobile had Sony’s flagship Xperia phones exclusively. The company has not yet confirmed any US carriers for its Xperia Z2.
